Application Deadline: Toshiba America Foundation Grants for Elementary Teachers
Toshiba America Foundation is a non-profit grant-making organization that has been supporting improvements in science and math education through its grants program since 1990. K-5 grade teachers are invited to use Toshiba America Foundation's short application form to describe a set of lessons or a hands-on project they would like to introduce in their own classrooms. With the Toshiba America Foundation grant, elementary teachers bring their best new teaching ideas to life.
Grants will be awarded to the teacher’s school and will be restricted for use by the teacher in his/her classroom. Only one application per teacher is allowed. Project Eligibility:
- Projects must advance the teacher’s science and math teaching units in grades K-5.
- Projects must occur during the school day. (Before-school, after-school or take home projects are not eligible.)
- Projects must be completed by May 1st so that a final report can be submitted by May 15th. Projects should take place over at least three class sessions.
- Projects should not be based solely on the purchase of a prepackaged kit.
