Planting the seeds.
REAL School Gardens is a grassroots gardening program that helps children by supporting elementary school communities as they design, install and sustain outdoor classrooms (gardens). We currently support 36 schools, 830 teachers and more than 17,000 students around Fort Worth, Texas, with plans for national expansion. Our goals are to use nature to enhance student learning, create safe outdoor spaces to engage young children, and encourage family and community involvement in schools.
